In this course you will learn about key aspects of starting out as a pastoral leader in a secondary setting - ranging from how to lead your team all the way through to how to tackle behaviour and attendance for your students.

Have you just been appointed a new Head of Year? Taken the role of Head of House? Or been made Pastoral Leader? ...then this is the course for you!

This course is designed to take the panic and fear out of taking on your first pastoral role. It is created based on my own recollections of becoming a Head of Year for the first time...and my quick realisation that I felt like I had no idea what I was doing!

In the course you will cover key aspects of starting out in the pastoral role, whilst keeping it focused on finding your feet and establishing yourself with your year group.
